Volleyball announces move to Breslin Center and season tickets
EAST LANSING, Mich. – For the first time in over a decade, Michigan State volleyball is scheduled to play home games at Breslin Center during the 2022 season. MSU Head Coach Lea Johnson announced Wednesday. The Spartans are tentatively scheduled to play all home games in Breslin beginning with the Auto Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational on Friday and Saturday August 26-27.
“Big Ten Volleyball is the best show in the country and moving to Breslin Center this season will allow us to create one of the best and most unique home court advantages in the country,” Johnson said. “We couldn’t be more excited to usher in the new era of Spartan Volleyball in Breslin this season. Playing in an electric venue like Breslin will allow us to provide an even better match atmosphere for our student-athletes and to our fans. The Spartans last appeared at the Breslin Center on Nov. 24, 2010, beating No. 19-ranked Michigan (3-0) on senior night. With a crowd of 6,824, it was the highest-attended game in program history until a crowd of 6,838 inside Jenison Field House broke that mark on November 12, 2016. Since 1995, Michigan State is 6-2 inside the Breslin Center.
Michigan State will play a total of 16 home games over 14 dates during the upcoming 2022 season. Season passes are available now at the Spartan box office and online.

All seats at Breslin Center will be general admission, except for court side seats. Adult general admission season tickets are $70. General admission season tickets for youth (ages 9-18) and seniors (ages 55+) are $56.
Current MSU students and youth ages eight and under receive free admission to MSU volleyball home games.
Michigan State opens its home season by hosting the Auto Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational on August 26-27, before returning from a five-game road trip to host the Green & White Classic on August 16. and September 17. The Spartans will play a total of six home non-conference games before Big Ten action.
In conference play, the league continues its 10-home, 10-road schedule pattern. The Spartans host Nebraska for the Big Ten home opener on Thursday, October 6 (this game was originally scheduled for Friday, October 7). Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, Purdue, Ohio State, Illinois, Northwestern, Rutgers and Iowa will also make appearances at East Lansing this fall.
