Bulldogs participate in summer football, volleyball

The Bulldog football team competed in its first overrun event of the summer last Friday, a seven-on-seven tournament at the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) in Roswell. The ‘Dogs fell to Lovington in the championship game. Artesia’s offensive and defensive trench specialists won the Linemen’s Challenge. The Bulldog volleyball program held its summer tournament last Friday at Bulldog Pit, Park Junior High School and Zia Intermediate School. In the gallery below, Zowe Warren sets up a set during Artesia’s match against Capitan; Hattie Harrison will kill; McKenna Morrison and Lauryn Parker deliver a block; and Charity Argo posts a kill. The ‘Dogs emerged victorious in straight sets against the Tigers.
