During the twelve months of 2006 I will present interesting items of the
twelve oldest Volleyball stamps. I hope you will be
interested in them. Today we continue with the twelfth and last part (December), a
stamp from Brazil.

Volleyball stamp number 18 of this
presentation comes from
Brazil. The
stamp was issued on September 28, 1957. It commemorates the 9th Spring
Sports Games which were held in Rio de Janeiro in 1957.
It is a commemorative stamp with a face value of
2.50 Cruzeiros. It has
comb perforation 11
¾ and no watermark. It was printed in
photogravure on coated paper, and the number printed was 5.000.000.
