Although not a real philatelic item, this is a very
special ticket, which was given to me by my great friend and Basketball
specialist Luciano CALENDA from Rome. This ticket was for a Men's
Volleyball match between the host team, Italy, and the United Arab
Republic. The game was won by the Italians 3 : 0. The ticket was the
signed by some of the players of the Italian team. The Universiade cancel is the cancel of the gymnasium where the Volleyball matches were held. The date of this cancel is very scarce. |
