In the season of winter 1996 / spring 1997, the Dutch Federation confirmed the issue of a Dutch volleyball cancel commemorating their 50th anniversary in september 1997. That meant that I would have a lot of work.
First of all the preparation of my collection which was to be seen in the sports hall in Eindhoven with five frames of twelve sheets each.
But besides that I was also involved in designing the cancel and the cover.
The cover should have the new logo of the federation which was used from Sep 12, 1997, onwards.
For me it was not a good feeling and when a volleyball & tennis friend heard about it he told me that he would help me with an own cover because he has an own printing office.
His name is also Piet van den Berg but this is nothing of importance but curious of course.
It was my idea to get all logo's from the participating coutries and the tournement itself on the cover and that happened.
Because of this only ten covers exist and only five have the Dutch volleyball stamp.
