| This souvenir sheet shows 001a from the United States of America (“stamp on a stamp”). | ||||
| Mekeel's Weekly Stamp News, a philatelic magazine, was founded in 1891. Although this issue conmemorates de Centenary of this magazine, it was issued in 1983, two years after the 100th birthday of Mekeel's. The title page of the first issue is pictured on the left stamp of the sheetlet, and it shows an interesting mistake, because the date given is Jan 7th, 1890 instead of 1891. | ||||
