OLYMPIC NEWS
The International Olympic Committee had decided that the 1940 Olympic Games should take place in Japan, however the 12th Olympic Games which were to be held in Tokyo and the 5th Olympic Winter Games which were to be held in Sapporo in 1940 were suspended due to the Sino-Japanese war. Prios to the suspension, the Japanese Olympics Organising Committee, was making preparations for the Games. According to I.O.C. rules, Olympic bulletins were used to inorm the world of their progress.
